  1. Thanks for this very nice coverage of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Steve. As someone in South Texas, I head to the casinos of Louisiana and Mississippi on vacations, and the Gulfport/Biloxi area is a real gem that's not as well known as it should be to people outside the Gulf Coast area. Your dollars go a lot further when vacationing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast than in better-known tourist areas.

  2. Just went to the Harrahs had an awful experience. I wish I could have gone 10 years ago these places are mostly changed now. I think we will stay at the Beau Rivage next time.

  3. Excellent video, but a few updates:

Landry’s Inc purchased The Isle, renovating and rebranding it as a Golden Nugget.

As the Isle was being transformed into GN, Harrahs decided to rebrand The Grand as a Harrah’s.

The Palace completed a major renovation/expansion and is now the only smoke free casino on the MS Gulf Coast.

Scarlet Pearl opened its 300 room, 68,000 sf gaming floor December 2015, and is the first and only casino in neighboring D’iberville, the city north of the bay from Biloxi.

Island View is currently developing its property on the south side of US 90 to open a second casino in Gulfport, this one smoke free.
