This was my first time learning that Excalibur was the largest hotel in the world when it opened. Very interesting.

Damn when I turned 21 10 years ago I would stay here a lot because I was in my early 20's and broke this place was a dump lol. As I started getting blessed with a career I started staying at a high end resort. But I must say this looks nice now. Might have to stay here again
That carpet was from the old MGM rooms too. I’ve seen them do the furniture. The royal tower has Mandalay’s old furniture too, but I’ve never seen them take the old carpet.
I stayed at the Excalibur here in 2026 during my birthday last month. I had no problems with the room, noise, odors, hallways or anything at the hotel. I booked during the holidays in 2025 and got a great price on the room. If you want or need a 5 star hotel when you go to Vegas and have no problem paying for it, okay. However, for the price I paid to stay at the Excalibur, it couldn't be beat and I enjoyed my stay there in March.

Did you happen to see craps table minimums at Luxor?
Friend and I have stayed at the Tower rooms in Luxor, Normal 2 queens room in Excalibur, and recently a standard 2 queens room in Aria… they were all comparable aside from location, but you'll be walking a lot either way… if we paid full price for Aria, wouldn't be worth at all haha.
Once again another hotel visit where no discussion of where to have a sit down breakfast in the morning. Not the buffet by the way. There's so few breakfast places in these strip hotels. Paris has the best with the Cafe Americano, actually Paris the nicest array of well priced average food menus in my opinion.
Can anyone let me know if it still smells like cigarettes?
The yellowing is probably from the use of bleach to clean and it's been damaging the paint on tiles

I kind like the Excalibur we did stay at the refurbished rooms on the royal side after your review few years ago. As I mentioned before your reviews are spot on.
I love the tournament of kings but it's more due to nostalgia. I remember my family staying here as a kid and I begged my mom for us to go to the show because I was convinced the kings and Merlin were real and I wanted to meet them so bad🤣. The Excalibur gets a bad rap but it's my childhood place so I continue to visit.
